Nate Burleson commenced his NFL career in 2003 and concluded it in 2014. Throughout his professional journey, he played for the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Cleveland Browns.

Selected by the Minnesota Vikings as the 71st overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2003 NFL Draft, Burleson remained with the team until 2005. Subsequently, he joined the Seattle Seahawks from 2006 to 2009. His tenure with the Detroit Lions spanned from 2010 to 2013.
